Care Management

Seniors want to live in their houses as long as they can. Oftentimes they do not realize their abilities are diminishing. They are also at higher risk for depression or loneliness as they age. A companion helps them deal with aging and reduces the risk of social isolation.

We had looked over quite a few agencies and we saw that A Hand to Hold was the most reasonably priced. We interviewed different caregivers from different agencies as well. We ended up choosing A Hand to Hold because of their reasonable price and also because we knew they would take good care of us. My husband has early dementia. The disease is progressing unfortunately. The caregiver would bring him outside on the yard and they talk. She does a lot of light house work for us, laundry for my husband, and sometimes fixes us lunch. She's really a good friend to my husband. They tease each other constantly. We started with A Hand to Hold since 2010. All of the caregivers they sent were all excellent and Lenny helped me tremendously in dealing with the insurance company.

I just wanted to again thank you for all of your assistance, time and effort in establishing my mom as a client with A Hand to Hold. My mom is still talking about you... all very wonderful comments... you made a great impression on her, all positive. Toni is great. She is meeting and exceeding her duties with my mom, she is upbeat, positive and providing excellent home care. Lennie, last night and tonight this is the first time in years I have not had to call her at least 3 to 5 times a night. What a relief... I cannot thank you all enough for your service. A Hand to Hold is a godsend.

You helped mom and our family greatly and we're grateful for all you did. Chereen is a treasure and is now (and will always be) a part of our family. Please let Chris know how much we appreciate the compassionate and quality service you provided. We won't forget you.

I wanted to take a minute to introduce a gentleman that has changed my family’s life and has the capacity and ability to do the same for many of the NFL Alums. His name is Chris Foster and he runs A Hand to Hold, a 88 plan approved in home care service that has provided a group in incredible CNA’s, to assist us at home with Bill’s needs. Before I met Chris, we were all worried everyday about Bill’s wellbeing and how we would find help for my mother as Bill’s dementia and Alzheimer’s began to progress. He could be a valuable resource to the few alums in the state that need more help than they are receiving and have the option for NFL Benefits which they may not be taking advantage of. I hope that you reach out as he expressed interest in helping our veteran ball players in their later years.
